Scary Halloween Wreaths

Halloween is just around the corner! Time to turn your house into a horror starting with your front door! Wreath is one of the best door decorative that you can put up. Other than the front porch, the front door happens to be the second thing that people will notice. So, decorate to impress with these spooky wreaths!

1. Giant Eye Balls

They say eye contact is very important. But, too much of that will turn into a creep stare. And, that’s the effect we’re going for. Creep your guests with creepy eye stare at your front door. The wreath and they eye mask are two different key materials to this DIY. You just need to head to your dollar store and find a round eye mask that can fit the wreath perfectly.

2. Crow Wreath

Let’s turn to something a bit more realistic! Make a wreath out of crows! No, not real crows. That will be creepiness at a whole new level. We’re just using dollar store black birds. Choose the most realistic crow in the store. Stick them onto a wreath in a circular pattern and you’re done.

3. Wriggly Snakes

Snake is another creepy creature that elevates fear within the souls of all mortals! This wreath is made with grape vine wreaths. This wreath texture is the best to bring out the creepiness needed for this artwork. If you can’t find black ones, you can always spray them with black color. The same goes with the snakes. The snakes are wrapped around the coils of the wreaths to secure it. If you do it right, you probably don’t even require any adhesives at all.

4. Human Bones

Human bones can be scary especially when you see one lying on the ground on your way back from school! For this freaky wreath, it’s best to use life-sized bone props. The idea above uses Styrofoam skeleton bought from a dollar store. Styrofoam glue is used to glue them together. You just need to carefully arrange the right sizes to form a circular wreath.

Here’s another creepy version with bones on a dark wreath. The black colored wreath adds contrast to the white bones – making it stand out more.

Putting up some glow sticks around the wreath maybe a pretty nice idea too! It really brings out the Halloween excitement!

5. Giant Spider

Halloween would not be like one without spiders! Get the most realistic spider in your dollar store and put it on any wreath. The idea above seems to have the spider attached to a fancy wreath that is meant for fall. But, it works just fine!

6. Twigs & Branches

If you have artistic skills, you might just able to save yourself some money this Halloween! This doesn’t appear to be exactly a wreath. But, it will be if you make it like one. What’s catchy about this art is that it uses branches to form the shape of a horrific forest monster. Leaves are glued around it to form its hair. It’s possible to use a styrofoam skull and just glue the branches around it.

15. Pennywise Clown Wreath

With the appearance of the movie It, everyone is pretty much afraid if this clown now! Making this would take three kind of materials. First is the colored mesh around it. Then, a platform which you would paste the mesh around. The final crucial piece is the colored printed face of Pennywise, the clown. There’s no sound better than the scream of young children when they saw this at your front door!
